OUR CHUCKY DOLL IS 1 HOORAY!!!!

Our georgeous amazing little man joshua has turned one today in a typical one year olds manner of opting to play with the giftbags rather than the actual gifts.
This time last year he was a mere 11hrs and 19mins old when he arrived very dramtically into this world through a very intense (and mighty painfull) 7hour prosterior labour that nearly saw mum and bub in theatre but in the end he came as naturally as i had intended weighing a hefty 4.444kg my biggest and longest baby by far.
Oh but what an angel he was so beautfiull i nearly stopped breathing the minute i saw him he was just so sweet and quiet instinctively knowing he had been on this earth before he had a really wise look about him like he was older than his years.
His trademark was his adorning locks of red hair so much hair it was a bet my husband and i had previous to our glorious meeting with our son ' will he be a red head' he would say to me i always knew he would be.
Those first few precious moments made me really happy as i knew despite the dangers and the risks that surrounded this delivery he had arrived and he was safe and those few moments i held him before he was whisked away to the pead were magical he stared up at me only a few minutes old as if to say "hello mummy sorry i caused all this fuss im here now i love you" I had never cried so much in my life other than when my children were born and joshua was no different whilst he was being checked and I was up having a shower my husband stood over him the protective father had kicked in making sure they were treating him carfully asking many questions as a father should i on the other hand was running on full adrenalin and i felt amazing despite being exhausted:)
We had a few precious hours with our new baby boy in delivery just rob joshua and me and it was truly beautiful my husband filled with praise for my efforts and pure joy at his new son and i in absoloute awe at the mammoth effort i had achieved.

Even now a year later he is still this amazing wise little being beyond his years although he know walks eats drinks his own bottles likes to have a chat in his own little language (i understand it) and has this little mischevious streak that all mums with red heads know only to well.
He has developed all the traits of rob and me with a little mix of his own in between he is growing way to fast for my liking though "slow down joshua".
I close with my favourite quote and a few of my favourite pics of my little man:) Happy 1st Birthday Joshua you have blessed our life with such joy we cant wait to see you grow and develop into the amazing man you will be one day we love you with all of our hearts for the rest of our lives and beyond, mummy daddy jamie and caitlyn xoxoxoxoxox

I Loved you the minute you were born, then I saw your face and fell
in love. You were only a minute old but I knew I would die for you
and to this day I still would. This is the miracle of life!

Tea party fun:)

So my little muffy was having a rather bored day today especially after yesterdays mammoth playdate with the sweatmans and steedmans, so we decided that a teddybears tea party was in order.
The little princess decided that this would be the perfect occasion to test out her makeup set she receieved from one of her friends on her birthday so with princess gown fairy wings and hair and makeup to boot she set the scene while i baked cupcakes and made chocolate fairy bread in the shapes of hearts and gingerbread men, whilst constructing a platter of tiny teddies cheese ball chips, ham and cheese bites and apple slices with marshmallows.

All washed down of course with lemonade tea. She had an awsome time with her brother who popped in and out occasionally whilst playing a computer game (boys) the chucky doll however missed the whole magnificent affair on account of his morning nap coming in a little earlier than usual.

birthday party ideas

The life of the aspiring (wannabe) party planner!!!

birthday party ideas

(Thanks to Top Party Ideas Blog for thier fantastic inspiration and images:)

Basically its me in a nutshell!!! At the moment i am in my element my favourite three months other than decemeber are june, july and August when all three of my children celebrate thier birthdays and both hubby and i do as well.
Honnestly i know the stress the sleepless nights the coffee filled days leading up to these fun filled celebrations are more than enough to put some mums right off opting for stress free parties at playcentres and fast food outlets but for me you cant go past the personal touch of a home party,
There is something about the planning and buying and the making of all things party for that celebration in your little ones life that makes it all worth while.

I am in no means a professional im as amatuer as they come but i like to think that im good at what i do (well my children and thier friends are my biggest fans) im planning to study very soon in the not so distant future party planning/event management focusing mainly on childrens parties and majoring in cake decorating (another little passion).
I love putting the little loving touches that come with a home made party like the little lolly bags and the prizes for games and the food i try to recreate the scene to the best of my ability nothing better than a really good theme for the whole party its so much fun.

And i guess im lucky in the sense that i have some of the most amazing family a girl could ask for both my mum and i work on the kids cakes together my DH more than happy to dress up and act like a child for the day and all the others that love to get involved makes it a super special day for the party child.
An interesting point might i add that recently at my daughters 5th fairy party a child came up to me and said " this is the best party ive ever been too i didnt know you can have a party at your house" I was stunned by this childs statement and it got me thinking have we really opted for convenience over homemade.
I guess for me (whose children have never had a party anywhere else) this was a definate shock to me nothing can be traded for those beautfiull memories and the pride you have in yourself for the wonderful party you create for your child.

When im doing a party i draw inspiration from alot of different sites and bloggers alike this one i especially love: http://karaspartyideas.blogspot.com/
Her amazing ideas and awe ispiring party themes make mums jobs everywhere that much easier its doesnt have to be an extravagant affair but a little hard work before the day makes it rather beautifull for your child.

P.S. Just thought i would share a few of my little parties and thier cake creations:)

Muffys favourite day!!!

Muffy recently turned 5 in the most fantastic fairy party that a little girl could want her very first "school friends" party.
She had such an awsome day with all her best girls and boys the kids had a great time and while the stress of the preplanning gave me a small hernia (im seriously exagerating) it honnestly was the most fun ever.

All the little girls were in absolute awe of her cake whilst it gave my mum and I some real issues during its creation in the end its the birthday girls opinion that counts.
I love hosting my childrens parties I secretly think that is what i was put on this earth for I love children and I love seeing thier little faces at parties and events like this and for me its such bliss to be the hostess I love organising from start to finish even the little touches such as my home made pinata its what I do and I wouldnt be me without this aspect of my life.

The boys loved my dragon pinata he even proved more difficult to break than i had imagined never the less the fun was endless watching thier little faces light up with every possible chance of it breaking and the lolly delights spilling out.
The girls had a blast with our amazing fairy photographer she captured my daughters true personality in all the photos she took she has a real flair for photography and I definatley very spoilt when she happens to be my very best friend I have no doubt she will make an amazing career out of her work (luv ya ash) xox

And at the end of the day all three of my adorable angels were extrememly happy it was a really great day celebrated by family and friends even new friends she got some amazing gifts and was truly blessed by all that attended I cant wait for many more parties to plan for my muffy especially my little ones first birthday its going to be another amazing milestone that is our lives:)

Girlfriends:)

Girlfriends. Arnt they just the most important thing a girl needs in her life I know for me I love my girls they are my greatest supporters and confidants and when I am down I can always count on my girls to pick me up again.

This got me thinking to my daugther although only 5 she has an amazing knack for picking some of the most amazing little women to be as her "girlfriends" muffy likes to pick her friends with alot of attention to thier little personalities being such a strong willed little redhead as it is you have to have a bold and outgoing personality to make it alongside muffy.
We have her girls over for sleepovers everynow and again and it always brings me back to my own memories when I was a wee lass having my girls sleepover talking till the wee hours about all things girly how I miss those days.

I posed this question to my best girlfriend the other day " Are we as mummies still allowed to have a sleepover"??? She just laughed and said " Im not sure". I think we should be able to regardless of our age how nice it would be to get together even with our little girls and have a mummy daughter sleepover ( im keeping this in mind for a upcomming event in my calender) it would be so lovely to have a sleepover with my girlfriends again with thier little daughters a nice memory maker.

Something to ponder for all you mummies with daughters?????

Its a brand new day!!

Okay so its blog fever apparently i have caught it as well I will admit its the inspiration from my best friends blog that gave this bug to me so therefore I hold no responsiblility for getting on the bloggin wagon:)

I have had a few blogs before but honnestly time just gets away from you and I didnt update them as often as I could have:)

So I guess for all intensive purposes this is our introduction Im Molpa as im affectionaltly known by my mother the Queen or Matriarch of this wonderfull little family then there is DH (Dear Husband) our wonderful provider and protector and giver of all things funny, theres our oldest son Jappie (jamie) he will be 8 soon his maturity amazes me everyday he is so much like DH, Then there is our beautiful fairy Muffy (caitlyn) the newly turned five year old who is our challenge but everyday she grows that little bit more into the amazing woman i know she will become last but most definatley not the least is our baby chucky doll ( joshua) so affectionatley nicknamed by DH due to his beautifull locks of red hair he is a mischevious bright very placid little boy and at 11months soon to be one Im still in awe of how much he has grown since the day They put him in my arms when he came into this world:)

So with that said and done its all about us our adventures our trials and tribulations as a family im excited to share our life again :)

Thats me for now :)
